Boscov’s is a family-owned department store that has been in business for over 100 years. This department store chain has various locations on the East Coast and a more recent but strong online presence. Boscov’s refers to its drop ship program as Supplier Direct Fulfillment. This program allows vendors to list products on their website and then fulfill and ship the orders from their individual warehouses all under the Boscov’s name. To be a part of this program, vendors must follow laid out rules and requirements put in place by Boscov’s. This program is beneficial to all involved, customers get a bigger product selection, vendors gain access to a customer base, and Boscov’s gets to sell products without purchasing inventory in bulk.
Program Requirements

Through this platform, you may be able to make contact with the right individual or get the contact information for the right person you need to reach.

Once you have gotten in contact with someone in the Boscov’s buying department, they will want to schedule a call to learn more about your company and capabilities for inventory, shipping, and connections. From here, the buyer will decide whether or not to move forward with you as a buyer.
Setup Process
A very important part of the setup process with Boscov’s is setting up the EDI connection. EDI is a required method for sending and receiving business documents. More information on the EDI Mapping requirements can be found in the EDI Mapping Specifications posted in the vendor section. Boscov’s is currently partnering with OpenText to manage their EDI; help from them can be found on OpenText.com or 1-877-446-6847.
Product Creation
Boscov’s has a team of merchandisers who manage the products and content that goes up on their website. Vendors must first agree with their buyers on the products they want to move forward with and consider the margins. To get products up onto their website, vendors have to complete Boscov’s Assortment Worksheets. Vendors also have to provide high-quality product images for each item.
Vendors can upload their product selection to the GXS Catalogue and then distribute this catalog to Boscov’s and other retailers.
You and the buyer will negotiate the cost of the goods you provide to Boscov’s. The cost of a product should take into account all of the related expenses for making and shipping the items to the end customer.
